Water has always attracted people. Hardly surprising as water is the basis of life.
Swimming with a view
In the large swimming pool measuring 5 x 11 metres you can have your first little swim even in the early morning or you can relax on one of the loungers and listen to the lapping of the water. Your gaze drifts over the fields of the "Gottshauser Boden" to the small church and the village of San Vito in the Alta Pusteria Valley with the peak of Dobbiaco's Corno di Fana in the background.
Swimming must be the healthiest sport. The muscles are trained by the great resistance of the water. Water also supports us, so it's easy on the joints. Swimming improves the cardiovascular system, trains the heart muscle and strengthens the veins.
Just the gurgling, lapping and murmur of water has a calming effect on us, which is why we are so fond of staying in the vicinity of water.
Non-nudist bio sauna
Consolidate this positive effect with a session in the sauna. In the swimming pool area we also have a non-nudist bio sauna with a wonderful view over to the mountain Croda del Becco and the
Braies Dolomites.
The beneficial effect of water on the body was also known in antiquity. In Braies the precious wetness was used therapeutically from the fourteenth century and alleviated the afflictions of many people or even cured them. Unfortunately, this old tradition is no longer followed and certain knowledge has unfortunately been lost.
Water preparation with salt
Many people suffer from very red eyes or even skin irritation in the swimming pool or after swimming. This is something we want to prevent. Nevertheless, for legal reasons we cannot avoid adding chlorine. That's why we decided to obtain the necessary chlorine from salt (sodium chloride). That way, no additional chemical products enter the pool that normally have to be used to ensure that the chlorine remains usable and retains its consistency.
