In 1979, Anton Trenker and his wife Waltraud took over the running of the establishment from his parents and extensively modernised it. Soon it was no longer possible to combine rearing cattle with taking care of guests at the same time. And so, the decision was made to concentrate fully on hosting guests. In 1984 Anton was able to officially call his business a “Pension”. For every room there was now an individual bathroom. A dining room was built with a table for each room instead of communal tables. Then, in 2001, the decision was made to undertake a further rebuild with larger rooms, a hotel bar and a sauna complex to complete the offering of what was now a three-star establishment.
