It is one of the loveliest and most extraordinary places for cross-country skiing in the whole of South Tyrol and the snowy Dolomite summits of Dürrenstein, Hohe Gaisl, Monte Cristallo and Tofane will accompany you along the way.

From Schmieden, just 3 km away from our hotel, you can join the Three Peaks-Dolomites region cross-country skiing network, which brings you via Niederdorf and Toblach to Schluderbach and Cortina or to Innichen and Sexten. Apart from this, there is a circular course in Altprags (3.5 km long, 20 metres of climbs) and one in Schmieden (2.5 km long, 20 metres of climbs), perfect for beginners as well as for training runs.
